Residential landscape design and installation across Central and South Texas, since 1992.
The Story
Michael Biechlin earned a BFA in painting and drawing and an MFA in ceramics from The University of Texas at Austin. He worked as a professional potter for years before joining the practice his brother Brink, the founding landscape architect, had started in 1992.
Michael came in as the installation lead in 1995 and developed his own design language over the years that followed. After Brink passed away in 2013, Michael assumed full ownership and continued the work.
Today, he is joined in the practice by his son, Adam Biechlin.
Meet Adam
A UT Longhorn raised in Austin, Adam got his start working alongside his dad and uncle at Groundsmasters after graduation. The bicycle industry brought him to San Antonio sixteen years ago, and after the birth of his first child he transitioned into real estate. He spent a decade at two of 78209's finest firms, including Kuper Sotheby's, where real estate runs in the family. His grandfather was Mayor of Alamo Heights, both grandmothers are part of the Kuper legacy, and his great-aunt still works there today.
Now he's back where he started: outdoors, designing and building landscapes that people love coming home to. Siete LanDesign is the result of that full-circle journey, rooted in a city his family has called home for five generations.
